Agenda Approval
By consensus the agenda was approved with two additions.

Minutes Approved
By consensus the Minutes of the June 9 and the June 11, 2008 Executive Board meetings were approved as submitted. 

Delegate Assembly Minutes Approved
By consensus the Minutes of the Delegate Assembly Minutes were approved as corrected.

BD 082108-01 On a motion by Richard Anderson, it was VOTED that WSSRA Executive Board instruct Executive Director Ed Gonion to inform Congress that we urge elimination of the Federal Social Security’s Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP)and the Government Pension Offset (GPO).

BD 082108-02 On a motion by Don Rifenbery, it was VOTED that the WSSRA Executive Director be permitted to negotiate with Lackey Sound and Light of Seattle for equivalent sound equipment use for the 2009 convention in Vancouver, Washington.

BD 082108-03 On a motion by Colleen Kinlock, it was VOTED that the WSSRA Executive Board endorse the Senior Class Life Plan for final expenses whole life insurance offered through AMBA from the United Teacher Associates Insurance Company.

BD 082108-04 On a motion by Marilyn Shaw, it was VOTED that Leslie Main and Ed Gonion be appointed as the WSSRA Representatives for the Public Employees For Pension Reform (PEPR) meetings. 

BD 082108-05 On a motion by Rite Requa, it was VOTED to approve the recommendations of changes proposed by the Awards Committee that are listed in the WSSRA 2008-09 Handbook on Page A-1.

BD 082108-06 On a motion by Marilyn Shaw concerning Scholarship awards, it was VOTED that the new amounts donated from PEMCO and number of continuing years for Scholarships be accepted by the WSSRA Executive Board. 

BD 082108-07 On a motion by Richard Anderson, it was VOTED that the WSSRA Executive Board oppose SEIU Initiative 414.
